A very entertaining middle grade book, much better than any of the Wimpy Kid books. I'm hoping Mr. Baron has a sequel. This is very clever, very believable. Sean Rosen is a kid I'd like to meet, a kid I found myself rooting for with every page turn.

Sean wants to be in entertainment, but he discovers he needs an agent to help him navigate the cracks, crevices and canyons of the Entertainment Industry. He has to do that while also finding his way through the dark forests and across the mountains of a typical middle grade boy. Sean is funny, irresistable and clever.

Although this is considered a middle grade book, it's more than that. I think most adults will enjoy it and might, in a sense, relive their own middle grade years while they read I Represent Sean Rosen.

I loved this book! It grabbed me from page 1. Great story and great characters- Every teen who marches to his/her own drumbeat will relate. And every adult!
good read. highly recommended.
I know this book is written for a YA audience, but I picked it up and found I couldn't put it down --and I'm a grandmother! I'm not smart enough to figure out how this author manages to make his narrator so believable and so likable--even when he's so cleverly manipulating the adults. Sean is sweet, but not too sweet and he is innocent--- Read it--you'll like it.
There is more in this book than one would expect. I have been a fan of Jeff's for years now and he never ceases to engage! Well worth the read. I can hardly wait to read what will follow!
This is a delightful, intelligent and charming book. Jeff Baron, creates a portrait of a teen-aged entrepreneur that really resonates with people of all ages. Anyone who's experienced the mercurial and puzzling nature of the film industry can laugh along with Sean, whose singular voice can be heard throughout the book. I look forward to reading more "Sean Rosen" books. Jeff Baron is a witty, empathetic, and ironic voice in the world of literature. I think this one has "legs"! And the podcasts are cute, too.
Thoroughly enjoyable for readers of all ages. Sean Rosen is the most engaging young fictional character since Holden Caulfield. The author, Jeff Baron, has an uncanny knack for dialogue which he uses to define his characters. Highly recommend.

The narrator is such a wonderful and unique character, and his voice is consistent and entertaining throughout. He takes us on a really fun ride, all the while making rather pithy observations about the entertainment industry. There's a sweetness here, but it's not treacly. If I had a kid, I'd want him to be like Sean confident, pragmatic, creative, ambitious, and truly one of a kind. Highly recommend!
